Overview of the advantages and disadvantages of different types of hydrogen peroxide sterilizers

Hydrogen peroxide sterilizers are mainly divided into two categories: atomized hydrogen peroxide sterilizers and vaporized hydrogen peroxide sterilizers. In terms of intelligence, a hydrogen peroxide sterilizer robot capable of automatic walking has been extended. 1. Atomized hydrogen peroxide sterilizer


 

Principle: use a low concentration hydrogen peroxide disinfectant below 8%, atomize the particle size below 10 μ m, bounce back continuously when encountering obstacles in the space through Brownian motion, and diffuse to all corners of the sterilization space to fully disinfection and sterilization.

Advantages: Good diffusion effect; Low concentration disinfectant does not belong to hazardous chemicals and is easy to store; Good compatibility (corrosiveness) (even if condensed dozens of times, there will be no visible corrosion to the naked eye).

Disadvantages: Unable to penetrate high-efficiency filters or perform pipeline circulation sterilization; Easy to condense, a thin layer of water mist may form on the ground.

2. Vaporized hydrogen peroxide sterilizer

 

 

Principle: Flash evaporation, 30%~35% pure hydrogen peroxide disinfectant is heated into gas through a heating plate and diffuses into space in the form of gas molecules.

Advantages: Gas particles at the nanoscale, more evenly distributed and ubiquitous, can pass through efficiently, and can independently circulate and sterilize small chambers such as biosafety cabinets, isolators, centrifuges, etc.

Disadvantages: Limited diffusion ability, requiring the addition of fans to assist in diffusion when sterilizing large spaces or when the diffusion distance is long; The concentration of disinfectant is high, and if the temperature and humidity in the sterilization area are not controlled properly, it can cause condensation and strong corrosiveness.

3. Hydrogen peroxide sterilizer robot


 

Advantages: The robot can automatically walk and avoid obstacles according to the planned route, make the disinfectant diffuse to all corners without disinfection and sterilization dead corners, and automatically return to the charging pile for charging.

Disadvantages: Due to the need for automatic walking, the power consumption is high and the battery life is poor, requiring frequent charging. If the sterilization area needs to be completed within the time limit beyond the battery life, it is not recommended to use it. And if there are changes in the layout of the sterilization area and the walking route, it is necessary to adjust the route frequently to ensure the sterilization effect.
